Simulation methods for spatial processes

Abtract

Urban structures result from various interacting processes. The phenomenon of a city at a particular time is merely a snapshot of a dynamic system.

To examine the basic urban processes cellular automata and agent-based models are introduced to simulate abstract mechanisms as simply as possible. These basic simulation models can be used as a kind of building blocks to find answers for more complex questions.

Further informations to the simulation methods for spatial processes can be found here.
